How Does Community Solar Work?
SpartanSolar is an affordable way for you to make a long-term commitment to Michigan’s environment by choosing to use renewable energy as a power source.
Instead of putting solar panels on your roof, your panel subscription entitles you to a share of the energy produced by our utility-scale community solar arrays. Your electric co-op continues delivering your energy and you’ll receive solar credits on your utility bill.
There is nothing to install, nothing to maintain, and you can cancel at any time.

The Power of the Sun
The SpartanSolar community arrays can power nearly 350 rural Michigan homes.
The Community Solar Program features two solar arrays, providing solar diversification as part of the program.
The SpartanSolar community arrays are located on M-55 between Cadillac and Lake City, Michigan, and at the intersection of M-60 and Decatur Rd. in Cassopolis, Michigan. Stay connected to renewable energy without the commitment and maintenance of panels on your property.
